I've still not managed to get rid of the damsels so I'm just gonna keep them. What I want to know is what could go in my tank? Its 36"x17"x12" and has a skimmer.
So far it contains-
5kg of live rock (soon will be 15kg)
2 Clown fish
1 Domino Damsel
1 Four stripe damsel
Nerite snails
Cerith snails
I'm looking for inverts and fish any ideas? |

Peppermint shrimps to keep down the rogue anemone population you'll doubtless get (ours arrived on the live rock). They are nocturnal, though. Cleaner shrimps (just because I like them) and perhaps a green or yellow gobi.
Wouldn't really put many more fish in a tank of that size personally.
Have you thought about some red legged crabs and blue knuckle crabs? They're colourful and active and they don't harm the soft corals. |

rob, what sort of lighting do you have? but mushroom corals, star polyps, zoanthids and pusing xenia will often be alright under t8 lighting, pepermint shrimps are good, but even better are copperband butterflys (get a bigger tank first tho) theres various blennies etc that you could have aswel |

Cheers folks,
Gobys look nice and I definately want some kind of shrimps, Dancing shrimps look nice.
I'd rather get peoples personal opinions than try and find stuff on google and my clowns are great. Everyone seems to love those things
Ive got normal fish lights dont know what its called, t8s i think-a 18000k power-glo and a marine-glo. But I'm really not sure bothered about corals yet, maybe later.
Im also after caulerpa, anyone gt some going cheap? |

i can send you some caulerpera if you want, its a weed in my tanks, ive got cactus algae, feather algae and money algea, i can send you a bit of each if you will pay postage?
on the goby front have you seen the yellow clown gobies? these are small but full of character, theres also bi-colour blennies that are entertaining to watch, for a medium sized fish you can get the indian wreck fish, but get 3 or more otherwise these fade away. hope that helps ya, if you want some caulerpera pm me and ill get back to you. i can probably send you some mushrooms as im about to propagate a few of mine.
