I am quite new to this hobby and have recently built a pond (500g) which has 7 goldfish in it. one of the fish has developed 3 small white marks which look almost like wounds on one side. Can anybody help me to identify this problem and offer any advice.

hi graham, this could be early signs of fish ulcers have a read of this link. in fact you may find all the answers you need by a closer look at the rest of the site
