Please help, im finding white see through like worms in my tanks water and glass. They are about half a cm in size and can be quite hard to see. Any ideas on what they are and how to get rid of them?
I have tried using anti crustancean parasite interpet treatment but it doesnt work. At the mo i have all my live plants in a heated bucket as the treatment kills them. Pleaseeee help me get rid of them Steph |

Hi stephanie these sound like flukes to me caused by over feeding if you give your sand or gravel a good siphoning and do a water change it should sort it out,if it doesnt you can get medication for flukes and will be gone in a few days,i would just ease up on your feeding or make sure you remove any uneaten food in the future,hope this helps |

These are most likeley nematodes (little worms) these are great in your tank as they eat all the uneaten food and fry eat them, they dont do anything any harm |

They are called Planaria and is harmless as the others have said. |
