17-10-2006 18:53 by JOHANSWAN	the best thing is to go onto some discus forums or websites in order to get to know them and their needs as discus are expensive and a beatifull fish but also sencitive to their needs and enviroments so to jump into the deepend with discus wont only be costy but also cruel to a beatifull fish who cant choose its own surroundings in the home aquaruim

17-10-2006 20:28 by JOHANSWAN	sorry mate no offence mend just discus stress for anything and i just got a soft touch for fish and it is up to us to create the enviroment for them that they feel comfy in for a discus in hiding is a strssed discus and not a happy one
17-10-2006 21:12 by OLD MAN	yer mate i totaly 100% agree with you. which is why i ask questions on here. ino how to keep discus but i like to try and change my tank and improve it as often as possible. i have just brought this external filter, ino nothing about them and i really dont no what is best to go into it.
17-10-2006 21:14 by OLD MAN	i maintain my ph ect with an ro/tap mix and by adding a buffer. i dont want to add the buffer no more its horible stuff makes the water cloudy ect ect. so i should like to get this filter working corectly in order to stop adding this. i would prefer a 100% natural discus setu!!
