I have a breeding group of cytocara moori 3 females and 1 male
the male has had a busy couple of days and all three females have mouths full of eggs..Is it safe to leave the male in the tank when the young are realeased or will he eat them ?

It is safer to seperate the female, and move her once the young have been released as she will also eat her young.

Sorry not clear.

I suggest moving the female to a small tank untill they release their young.

Use plastic plants and rocks so the babies can find refuge.

Then as long as the females are not too skinny, move them back to the main tank. The frmale are not too predatory, but once they have released young they will be hungry! So might eat their own young.

If you can the ideal situation is to move the females to a third tank once released so they can feed up before being introduced to the male. Nice but not a nessesity.
