Hi everyone, I am starting this thread just to let u all know my daughter Elissia arrived on the 9th october at 10:01pm 7plb 8oz... She is so tiny, Helen was in labour for 6 hours, she had no stitches and did really well considering the agony she was in, Elissia is good through the night and both mother and baby are in good health, its my first day back at work today...
Nothing compares to the feeling I felt the day she was born, apart from the 4 double rums and 2 cans of stella (still couldn't sleep) the feeling is un-describable but for those of u who have been there you know the feeling I'm talking about! its hard to put into words!
Elissia is a new addition to the hobby as far as I'm concerned, as soon as she can walk she will be introduced to a gravel hoover and bucket! lol
I wont drabble on with this as a few peeps may not like an unrelated fish topic being posted, I just know a few of you we're asking how things went!
Thanks to Telboy and Keith T for ya emails guys!
I've been viewing the forum for a little while this morning and a few new peeps by the looks of it, welcome to u all!
Here she is in all her beauty!

hey i woulnt mind doing a bit of pike fishing, always been a bit worried about handling them, seen a few programmes on it now so might try it with a bit of spinning,
Carp fishing more my cup of tea, caught a 17,5 pounder the other day. My record. But all in all im quite rubbish, to busy getting trollied when i go fishing. |

I'm a carp fishermen Kieth, had a 24plb mirror out the trent (newark) when i was 18, i was on 6plb line and a 16 hook, it took me an hour and half to play it in, got some pics but will have to scan it in mate!
Pike fishing is cool, chainmail glove, a good spring to wedge there mouths open and its plain sailing!
Seen my brother have 18plb monsters (pike), i'm dubious to handle them though, always get our kid to take em off the hook, there is a good place at Doncaster! |

24lb, nice one mate, it must a been a beast. 32lb is the biggest carp in our lake where we go though i never seen it come out.
i always seem to catch those pesky eels, i hate em. Ive had some nice tench and some large bream even though i was after carp, im not complaining though, due to the amount of times ive been and caught nowt. i even pull at my line myself to make the bite alarms go off so the other fisherman think i is busy cathing lol |

Yeh it was a beast, one of its scales fell off and i still have it to this day, its about the size of a fifty pence piece! On the trent its swarmed with eels, as quick as i catch em my grandad has them in the pan (dirty **********)... i just attack them with a idleback, i hate eels!
been there keith with the alarm trick, I fish for carp either on the trent or i go to a little pond at Tattershall just outside sleaford (A57 way i think), I use catfood as groundbate and make my own boilies, sit back, roll up and wait for the alarm, in the summer i feed floating koi pellets and fish with a float and a drilled dog biscuit on a dacron rig....
Fishing with dog biscuit off the top is great fun, when you see that gob come up and swallow ya biscuit its such a feeling, and they go like the clappers off the top! |

the lakes i use are over fished and it ruins it. the carp are difficult to catch whilst the bream are quite easy. belonged to eastleigh fishing lakes but havnt re newed my membership as they keep putting it up about 72 quid a year now. Going to buy a boat next year with my mate and give sea fishing a go. Cant wait to start rolling one up on the high seas.
making sure its got fish finder fitted on board as we need every bit of help we can get,
First place i want to go on the boat is to a little island of a poole in dorset where this a nudist beech, we can fish and look at the scenery at the same time.
just sticking to day tickets from now on as carp fishing goes. Theres some gravel pits about 20 mile away, going to give them a try |
