hi there went to this fish shop at the weekend and was extreamly shocked that they had a marine setup with corals such as sun coral toadstoool mushrooms xeinas ect under 4 t8s .. how is this possible it clearly is as i saw it but i was amazed |

well being that 3 t8s = 1 t5 so thats 1.3333a t5 lighting on it all those corals are fine under t5s and toad stools polyps mushrooms are all fine under t8s at least 3 and a sun coral like the dark anyway |

is this the shop at creekmoor poole? if so they are using compact t5's.....only know as i thought same and asked lol |

no im talking bout the shop next door to sainsburys in stuarts garden centre and they were defo using T8 lol

Um, I keep xenia, mushroom and sun corals under T8's - have done for about a year... |

What was the tank depth? T8's are fine for marines with shallow tank depths and those corals mentioned are not dependant on high intensity light and the sun coral prefers dark spots with no light. |

Hello everyone
I don't have an incling of what you speak being a total newbie to tropical fish. The reason for happening on this topic was the Title.
You see I was there this weekend and last, and I'm not really that happy with Southern Aquatics.
