I'll let you know how mine progresses. i have a carpet anenome arriving shortly and it will be under 4 T5 lights, high up in the aquarium. |

ive keept them under t5s with no probs ,but thay will prob like halides more..but its all money  |

i have a malu under 4 t8's and its fine, halides arnt essential for anemones |

it all depends on the depth off your tank and what tubes u use i have 3xt5s 1xblue and 2 white giesemann dd 14k and my tank depth is 22" where most off the light spectrum reach the bottom best is to look on box of tube with spectrum diagram to see what depth your different colours reach problem with t8 is it dont have the same output as t5 for depth |
