Depends on the species, size, filteration, feeding etc. Stick a huge filter on there and you'll be able to fill it with fish. |

Pack them full of biological media then pack that tank wall to wall with malawis once filters are mature. |

Easy to breed without even doing anything. No real need for more water movement dude |

Would be wise to pack one filter out with biological media (say the bigger fx5) then use the other for more polishing the water.
Will have to slowly load them up with extra waste until they have enough bacterier to support a large community. Do this by feeding loads and looking for signs of ammonia/ nitrite/ fish breathing fast. |

|
my filters r well mature as i had a big jag in the tank and 2 tilipia and oscars with the arrowana |

|
and loads of water changes, which i have developed a fetish for |
29-10-2006 17:13 by tank busters
|
is it because u like getting wet lol |
29-10-2006 17:13 by Jake Casson
|
But if there not in there now or once the arow goes then all those extra bacteria will pass away.
There are only enough there for whats being produced and most will quickly die once the fish waste is cut back. |

Get as many as u can, it reduces agression, try not to add dibs and drabs of fish, buy loads and add them in, if u add 5 then another 5 etc etc you'll porb loose some through other fish being aggressive! |

Depend totally if you want mbuna or haps... |

|
I have a 120G mixed Hap/Peacock/Mbuna setup and have no problems. My Haps and Peacocks are males only and the Mbuna are some of the quieter species such as Ps saulosi's and white L Caeruleus. Its the best of both worlds as far as colour is concerned. As far as diet, the old argument about not mixing haps and mbuna is irrelevent with the use of NLS foods with suppliments involving spirulina, cucumber, etc. |
