saw an interesting tank in a fish shop today, it had Julie Regani and Oscellatus (shell dwellers) the Julie were constantly after the Oscellatus who were hiding in the shells.

I take it these two fish are not compatible? i just liked the look of both of them

Julidochromis regani should be compatible, if they tanks is set up wth plenty of rocks to occupy the julidochromis (they are rock dwellers, so need caves etc) But Regani is a big fish - up to 6 inches, so really needs a four foot tank to mix with other species.

The dwarf julidochromis would be a better bet - Ornatus, dic_kfeldi, transcrptus or gombii, These should mix ok with sheldwellers in a tank 2 foot or over.
