hi in my tank i currently have a pair of geophagus steindachneri and i was hoping to add 1 or 2 geophagus pelligrini and 1 or 2 Gymnogeophagus Balzanii will they be ok together? |

To be honest with you mate i would'nt mix red humps with the other two species as they are rather agressive second only to Brasilliensis |

Well the pellegrini and steindachneri should be ok, But beware that they may hybridise. And with a fish as rare as pellegrini, this would be a shame.
Be very careful when you buy pellegrini - most are steindachneri. If its the real thing, only buy it if you can start breeding it and distribute the young. |

They are becomming more readily available now Paddy,i have seen them in three shops in the last month or so
I agree that if you do get them be 100% sure of whhat they are,ask where they came from and the exporter if possible |

what size tank are they in as at the moment i only have a three foot tank but i am hopefully getting a bigger one after christmas.
