I don't know, but it sounds like you should remove the chocolate.

the only problem is id rather move him as a last resort because he has great character and is a nice looking fish (when not being evil)

i had a pair of choccies the male turned and killed the female then a large red head then tried to kill the oscars,if you add a fenale + ya lucky they may pair off but then it would make the choccie male even more mental

what size tank are they in? Given enough room they are pretty relaxed. You,re looking at a thick bodied 10" fish so if there isn't enough room they can cause the other fish quite a bit of damage.

my two are 9" and 7" and were only a prob in my heros tank.In with oscar, terror, dempsey and pearsi now and they have been real cool. It would seem that if they can throw their weight around, then they become a nuisance. Introduce a fish capable of putting the temporale in its place or get shot of it fella

terror, nic,jd,jag, salvini, con.Trouble is,you're looking at another aggro fish that'll cause your geos yet more trouble. My experience, they really do need to be with tougher fish than geos

Which species of chocolate do you have? Hellebruni or temporalis or coryphanades (spelling?)

I would be loathe to introduce more fish. Really because you are only postponing the problem as all the species you are looking at would need their own territory. I would move the chocolate as the tank is less than 3 foot as you will always have issues - both of these fish will tolerate small territories - but they dont like to share.

The other options would be to divide the tank, or try to separate the territories - I often use a big rock or piece of bogwood across the tank (front to back) as this help to clearly define territories and can help to reduce the agression.
