I am keen on getting a flame angel, but have heard some reports that they are heavy on the caulerpa in an aquarium.

Has anyone had experience keeping flame angels in a tank with cauperpa - and if they attack it as food too much.

the Flame angels natural diet is mostly algae, so i imagine it would eat most of your caupera

i would say being a cichlid the Angel does require some meat in its diet, you could supplement with bloodworms perhaps Yanton?

steve, you have never seen a flame angel as red as this !

cichlid fury, i am talking about marine angels, not freshwater (so not a cichlid)

this is the closest colour i could find, mine is exactly this colour with those blue flashes on the fins.

it was tank raised in australia (and actually cost more than wild caught ones)

ok, nice picture, strangely enough Yanton it does actually look like a cichlid, a Severum with a red light bulb inside it?
