can you not flush water through it without electric

have never used one, but when i was nosing round a while back some of the suppliers were listing pumps for when you have low water pressure and from what i remember you get better efficancy (less waste water) with higher pressure so electric ones probably have this low pressure cut off you are saying about. But i am still very new so could be way of the mark.

i have 2 ro units
explain more mate, what is the pump for?
i dont get it.
the pump boosts the water pressure so how can it be down to low water pressure?

hi thanks for all the help i am trying to flush each filter in turn to eliminate air-lock

old man the filter is a Aquathin intelligent selectronic domestic system......im sure the filters are just standard ones

ok i have water supply going into a solenoid?(switch)....this then goes to the pump......through the pump and back to the first filter pod...

with the electric conected it pulses and clicks back off.......should the pump be between the supply and the solenoide?
the system has a holding tank (preasureised)and a worktop tap.

when i brought one of mine, it had been put together wrong.
on the pipe that went into the unit was a 1 way valve and i spent hours playing with it before i found out some idiot had put it together wrongly.
i find it best to rebuild them yourself.
step by step.

I have now placed the pump before anything else .......

the tap conecting to the copper cold water supply has alot of presure however at the other end of the pipe its only like a dripping tap??? i have removed and re-fitted the pipe as i thought it may have been squashed in the screw connection......still the same only a drip
its asthough their isnt enough water for the pump to work properly
any ideas guys an girls?????

update on the problem.....im sure i installed everything very carefully as i didnt want a leaking pipe..............however i think when i tightend the supply hose brassconector it must have kinked the feed pipe behind the dishwasher!!! .....straightend it out to hear a rush of water and the system working as it should be ....

i notice now that when the pump is under presure it leaks a little .....tomorow i plan to whip the top off and smear something like fernox (spelling?) its a leak sealer safe for drinking water !

thanks all for you help and a big thank you to the OLD MAN
