i still have a 6x2x2 at my brother's place, now have the space in my house to bring it back home!!! its been housing shubunkin of all things to keep the filter mature (Eheim Externalx2). I can get the filter from his to mine in less than 10 mins, so can keep mature.
Still cant decide what to use tank for?
If you had 6x2x2 right now, what you do with it |

Yuk.
Could go for a african cichlid setup.
Planted setup with a 1000 odd neons or cardinals is something ive always wanted to do....
Big shoal of diamond sharks (lemon fin barbs)....
Or turtles like a big ish snapper or something.
Trying to think of stuff that will look really inpressive. That gives people the wow factor.
Think I would have to go for the cardinal planted setup even though Im a tankbuster/ big fish man. Put the time in setting it up and you wont regret it. Second choice would be a malawi setup maybe with a big giraffe cat too. |

1000 carinals wont cost much as you think. Peacock bass are great, I have one which trys to bite me whenever I even go near the tank. growing a inch a month too and very colourful |

in shirley aquatics they had a big tank filled with white gravel and ocean rock , the inhabitents were yellow labs and parrot cichlids it looked really unusual
on first glance it looked marine |

We've just got another 6x2x2 and we're setting it up ready for our breeding pair of Foils (Cyathopharynx Furcifer), 6 Jumbo Cyprichromis Leptosoma and 3 large 7 inch Benthochromis Tricoti.
They're having a mix of coral sand and Argos kids play sand and just some slate and rock hidey holes up 1 end - the rest of the tank (4 foot) is bare so that the male Foil can make his bower for mating, (it looks amazing when he's built it just like a crater) and the Leposomas also love the open space.
Currently they're in a 5 ft section of an 8ftx2ftx15inch tank so they're gonna love it.
