i use one and have done so for 6 months or so, i stuffed mine full of filter floss to buff the water up, bit of a waste of a big filter i know but id never get my money back if i were to sell it. Great filter though. |

Do you reckon its worth the cash. Intend to run two on a 7x2x2. I know thats ott but the joys of keeping a mbu. |

Good price , but these filters are large , i think you will be looking at around £60 for the media. i may be wrong. |

The plan is to fill them both and have them pump out through two xp3's filled with filter floss. I will therefore be just filling both with alfagrog at £15 for 15kg. Anybody have any idea as to how many kg's would fit into the filter? |

You could just go for one eheim 2260 which is bigger than a pro 3. Thats what I did and saved money. Then once your mbu has outgrown that tank just get a bigger tank and another filter. |

It will be going on to a 7x2x2 i didn't think that a 2260 would cope? |

Its rated to 1500 litres and turns 1900 per hour. Your tank is alot less than a 1000 litres. It'll cope unless you have other big messy fish. Its bigger and cheaper than a pro 3 so maybe get 2 of them then. |

The mbu is in with a silver arrowanna so another big fish but not paricularly messy(most foods don't even touch the sides). Will bare the 2260 in mind. cheers jake |
