I have a 2.5 inch Yellow Lab and I am not sure if it is ill ? It seems to be a pale colour and spends most of its time at the top of the tank. Its belly also looks inverted [sinks in] compared to the others. It does however eat well. any ideas? |

Could be an internal problem. I could have damaged it's insides and it's got internal bleeding. Thats all i can think of. |

it happens now and then to malawi cichlids, even despite the best care for them.
they go off their food, some keep on living for quite a while, whilst others fade out quickly.
i suspect it is a bacterial infection, not sure though. |

i have a 3 inch yellow lab that is behaving in exactly the same way . i moved it from the yellow lab tank because it was the bottom of the pecking order and was under constant attack from the other labs , it has been like it for months but is still hanging on seems weird to me also

yellow labs hold fry for a long time and if they are not kept away from males after spitting, they will quickly be holding fry again, they can do this for a few broods but lose body weight and colour and usually fade away and die.I have never got a female to recover. |
