The one thing you must always bear in mind when buying a tank of that
size , is that most door ways are only 30" unless you have double doors on your house or intend putting it in a garage you would never get it in your house without taking a window out

build it yourself. I built a 8x3x2 and its not to difficult, do a double base. Its the only tank where I had to get in to seal it. If you not to far I will give you a hand. Build it in place, in a day. |

500 for a 6x3x3 is scandelous, very think glass Jake, what 12 inch glass? |
14-11-2006 22:22 by Jake Casson

Even a 8x2x2 would be under 150! The extra high puts it right up, go on then sonia-find one for under 350 and i'll do anything you want or even bet you 100.00!!!!:o |

At that size its worth going for acrylic far stronger and much lighter.
For a 3 foot deep tank you will need to use I think 15 mm thick glass instead of the 12 mm used on 2 foot deep tanks that is where the cost sky rockets producing glass of this thickness is expensive.
Try calling aquacadabra for a quote whatever the quote is it is likely to be the cheapest you will find. You would probably need at least 4 strong men to move the tank as well if you opt for glass with acrylic 2 men could shift it. |
