15-11-2006 12:12 by paul stevens	I'm gona be looking for a stand for my 6x2x2 tank when i get it I'm looking for one in wood and has got cupboards i need it tall enough to fit my eheim bucket filter in one end. Or do you think it would be better to build my own one. If so what wood should i use and how thick it should be or if you have got any ideas you could put my way would be great. Thanks Paul
15-11-2006 12:23 by samy	im in the same boat paul have my six footer but no stand. my dad wants to build the stand out of 2by2's and use bolts to hold it together.then we was going to buy a sheet of 1 inch ply wood fo the base. hope this helps paul

15-11-2006 12:49 by Ste	Paul i have all my big tanks on a concrete block base i have used 3x2 as cross members , the base would hold a house its that strong. also i have some blocks and some bags of sand and cement left over . Have a look at the weekend if your still coming over

15-11-2006 18:07 by bluboy	i make all the stands for my tanks my biggest was a 37 gal tank i made a frame out of 2 by 2 timber clad in 6 mm mdf its kinda basic but it looks good i make the hoods aswell:o
