does anyone know of a product that will turn pumps of when level in sump drops below a certain level due to recntly going on holiday and tank overflow blocking and overflowing (luckly someone there) i want it to turn of pump when this happens if it happens seen system 2000 one but they are now closed if anyone has one for sale or knows were i can get one let me know |

Yes, a ball valve, these have a mercury tilt switch which will cut the power when the float goes down past a certain point. Same as the ball valve in your loo, but instead of letting water in, it cuts the power. Check out RS electronic componants catologue online. |

i use one of these for my auto top up, but could be adapted to turn off return pump.

sorted it connect intake pipe to fluval hose put in sump about inch below water level if overflow stops it doent keep pumping water |
