Yeh, you'd think. So long as your careful. Plus the majority of the time i have the lid off (cause its a tropical tank the condensation means you can see jack-*** generally!). With the lid off though, its quite soothing - doubles up as a water feature! It an excellent focal poin in the room.
As for the tea and coffee (if the tank is used - i'm that *** lazy its generally by my feet anyway!), its usually sat (carefully and softly!!!) on the mirrored section that houses all the wiring etc! Besides, are you trying to tell me that you don't spook your fish from time to time when passing/the occasional knock - they get used to it! In fact mine come to the surface for feed when i move the lid (yes, when its on) or when hovver over the top of them! |

no good for tropical fish, the heater causes the glass to condensate and they look rubbish you cant see a thing |

agree, best as a coldwater set up, cant beat a standard design fishtank, rectangler, cube or bowfront.

djjaye. Are you kidding pal, cheaper than normal?!! No a chance. go on kelkoo and look one up. brand new, you'd be looking £800 for one NOT as nice as this...
And BogWood...i'm surprised at you - "proper"??? How rude!!!
Danny, you are right, it does get a bit of condensation, but there are tricks that stop it from steaming over too quick - i can go 3-4days before i have to give it a wipe over!!!
But do you's like it?!! |
