Hi
Can I place my filter on the same level as my fish tank as it says that it needs to be below the tank to work . It is a Fluval 305 external filter ? |

if it says it needs to be lower then thats probably for a reason. i think that you may find it would work your way but that you'd be adding eextra load to the motor making the motor pull the water and push it out again. with these things its always best to follow the manufacturers instructions |

as long as your filter waterlevel is at least 6 inches below your tanks waterlevel you are safe as your filterpump only have a 1.5m head but the lower your filter is the harder it works to pump the water back into your tank so what ive found is to put the filter behind or next to the tank just that few inches lower and thats how you will get the best work out off your filter |
