Posted	Foster home needed urgently
05-12-2006 14:40 by AndreaC	Hi. Im not sure if im allowed to post this so if not apoligys in advance and remove it. Im looking for an urgent foster home for a brindle male staffordshire bull terrier. He is excellent with other dogs and kids but not with cats (has attacked mine) Im fostering him at the moment but due to him attacking my cat he needs a new foster home. He is very well behaved and house trained, infact he is a real gem. Basic commands known and he just wants to please you. Very gentle boy and a complete babe. gets on with my male staffy. Please if anyone can foster him contact me at andrea.cuthbert@hotmail.co.uk He was found wandering the streets in leeds and in Nottinghma at mo with me. Again sorry if this isnt allowed, I looked to see what else was posted in this section to make sure you can post non fish related.
05-12-2006 16:06 by Jessica	hi im in merseyside.. a fair bit away but ive got 3 dogs (two rescues - male and female - neutured) and a female german shephard. as long as he gets on with these i can take him.. i dont have any cats so there would be no problem. Probs too far but just a thought..
05-12-2006 16:47 by Danny Boy	andrea try advertisinghim with a price. giving away dogs is a dodgy buissness. the only reason i say to offer him at a price is that at least he will get an owner that can afford to own a dog and then afford to pay any vet bills etc. battersea doags home have a campaign to try to stop people giving away dogs as they often end up in the wrong hands. or even used as bait dogs to train staf fighting dogs

05-12-2006 18:12 by keith t	Andrea it can be trained and learn to get on with cats, when i got my english bull terrier at 11 months she was very unruley. she hated cats especially my one. It took me about 3 months, in which time i had expensive glass broke and curtains ripped down by the dog trying to eat the cat, but now they sleep together and the cat often rubs up and down the dog for affection. Its hard work but it can be done

05-12-2006 18:22 by AndreaC	It can be done I know but my cat is in recovery from mayja surgery and still at vets. My others are hidden away ontop of wardrobe at the moment. Considering it all and sadly the damage inflicted on my cat, plus this boy can open doors lol so unable to leave him alone at the moment in house Its better to find a foster home with no cats. If he is left alone in house that cats arent around he isnt destructive at all. Yes I know about the damage lol, my dressing table has beed trashed, and everything in bedroom where he chased them. He is better settled with no cats around and can be left. I have to consider the school runs and stuff and I cant boot my cats out, also when my cat does come home he will be frail and need peace, not being able to run away from a dog. This is his only downfall and he is a great dog. We are really hoping to find his owners and unite them back, though he was found in leeds we belive he isnt from that area and are spreading posters way further out. Ive heard so many stories oabout EBTs and there crazy behaviour (fun ways I mean) staffs can be like that also. yeh his tongue looks big in that lol, he was a year old there and is now 3 yrs old. Here is a rescent pic and his tongue doesnt look as big lol

Im finding it difficult to control this cat dog fighting. Please, if anyone can offer help or know of someone who can email me or let me know, he is a great boy.
