hi all just gathjering information and essentials before embarking on a marine experience. my question is: when running a marine tank i know you should use live rock for all filtration but i need a canister to plug the uv into also use rowaphos in it? its a 240l tank what sort of size filter will i need please? also would 3x 54w t5 be sufficient to keep soft corals and anemones under? 2x white 1x blue? thanks in advance

filter wise trevor you need one that is rated to the lph of your uv if thats what u are planning on uv it should have max lph to be put through it to fast and it wont work right rowaphos in it yes but would need alot to fill one lol depends what corals u want under t5 i have 4x39w 2 blue 2 white have got in tank so far which is 20" deep one favia brain coral (hard) bubble coral (hard ) finger coral (soft) yellow polyps and fuzzy mushroom placement is a thing to think about lfs should beable to help you out

ideally trevor you would need a 15w uv which is rated upto 365L tank , the flow through this should be 1360LPh but no lower than 1200LPh so a good sized canister with a flow rate of 1200LPh should be fine. HTH
