Over the last few days i've noticed that myfemale yellow lab was off colour and hanging at the top of the tank and not eating. And this morning i found it dead. What could have happened? But i've read threads like this before. Could you help. The water tested fine their plenty of oxygen and it wasn't bullied.

sometimes this seems to happen now and again for no reason, i would keep close watch on others if i was you.
What are you feeding them bruce, and also did you acclimatise it properly when you recently bought it into your tank

It is not really suprising that you have lost a fish,Malawis need hard water with a high mineral content,in a small tank that will be depleated very quickly. It is impossible for them not to be bullied, that is what Mbuna do,they need a large tank with lots of rocks to form territories,in small confines they will be stressed to death,if not beaten to death, yellow labs seem to more prone to stress than other Mbuna in my experiance.

NO BLOODWORM FOR MALAWIS feed them any other frozen food but NOT bloodworm - it's got no nutritional value and it's the most likely cause of Malawi bloat which is like a major constipation.
If your lab female wasn't eating for a few days & staying in 1 spot it sounds like she could have had the bloat, did you notice if she had white coloured poo? If so its definately down to bloat, if not then its just down to bullying.
