Not trying to put you off the Orandas but they do need very close watching as they develope swimming problems and watch what you feed them ....they get constipation.......
what size are the fish ?if they are small then i would say 2 ....

if u feed live food it helps the constipation, also with all fancys u shud feed a sinkin food as this helps with thswimmin probs

they were very small. i no a lot about goldfish- i will guid him on his way ill make sure he gives them a mixed diet. wee have a large culture of bloodworm, mosquito larvae and daphnia. well feed them that alot. daphnia acts like a laxative so that would be a good way to releive constipation

a salt bath fixed one of my goldfish when it got swim bladder problems. most times its caused by a parasite. i thing the salty water gets to it and kills it. just a guess

thanks for the trust in me guys. cant set the tank up too soon. were pickin it and our grandparents on christmas day. theyre spendin the day wiv us. my grandad had fancys in it but they all died. theyre hardest to keep when young cos they cant be fed too much or they swell up im sure hell be fine. if theres summit i dont know about then ill get him to ask you knowledgable lot. by the way whats a good temp. i wud think for fancys about 20 celcius. i think when theyre small theyll be ok wiv sum camboba, vallis and other hardy plants.
