Hi there, i remember reading in pfk magazine a survey on several brands of external filter. The tetratec ex 1200 came in at the top along with eheim, i was wondering if anyone out there had any more too say on the tetratec, i have an advert for one but thought it helpful to hear from the people who actually know, any thought would be appreciated. |

Hi, we bought a tetratec 1200 about 2-3 weeks ago, we think it is a fantastic filter as we noticed the difference straight away, we have never had an eheim so i couldnt compare it, we have the tetratec ex 1200 running on a 5x2x2 tank and the water is crystal clear, hope this helps |

i would look in to tetratec parts availability. with the eheim you know any bits you need are to hand without hassle. that said, ive never had to buy any parts for the 7 eheims i have been running for the last 4 or so years. |
