Posted How to add video clips

Here is the easiest way to add video clips to your posts on this forum.

Please note though that (a) you cannot add these to the opening post of any thread (b) suitable kid-safe content only.

See an example here

Use www.youtube.com

All you need to do is paste in the code provided labelled Embed (see picture).

If you have a movie clip, then sign up with YouTube and upload it there, then repeat the above steps.

Looking forward to seeing some fishy clips on the forum.

Webbie why this is your thread what is the max dims of a picture that we can put on here.

thats good, so you can do the same with photobucket movies

we prefer pictures to be no larger than 500 pixels wide if you are calling them in from elsewhere - so the page is not distorted/stretched.

regarding the file size of uploaded (and auto resized), i have uploaded pictures of 4mg with no problem. i have not found the upper limit yet as this depends on server activity at the time.

Webbie what about putting a home link at the bottom of a thread so we dont have to keep scrolling back to the top so we can go back to the home page.

So what do we do webbie when the Embedding is disabled by request do we just have to stick the link up instead.
28-12-2006
17:46 by webmaster
you mean when the vieo producer does not want it to be shown elsewhere? then yes, a link sould be ok.
28-12-2006
21:51 by webmaster
dont forget folks, you cannot add a video clip (or a picture) on the very first opening post.

this is becasue on the listing page, it would distort that page.

you can only add a picture or video clip on 2nd+ entries per thread.
