I have a jewel rio 240 marine tank. I have decided that I am now sick and tired of seeing the filter box as it is right in view all the time.. Is it possible to take the box out? and is it possible while not disturbing the fish too much?
regards

easy , just cut the four blobs of silicone off , and put all the media in it into the new , external filter(i presume your getting an external), job done |

what 4 blobs? It always has had an eheim external filter running.
Just the box is on the side of the tank you see not the side against a wall. Typical !!

i take it ya talking bout the internal filter that comes with the tank?if so as wayne says theyre stuck in with 4 blobs of sealant at the back, simply ease the filter away whilst cutting the blobs with a stanley blade, take ya time + it should be easy |

you could always keep it and just move it to the other side |
