i am in the middle of designing a central filter system for my fish house . the tanks linked would work out at 500gallons of water i intend to use a 50gallon sump filled with bio ball and tubes also 3 layers of filter sponge on the top and then a 25 gallon resevior my problem is finding a high power water pump that will pump water around the system 6 times an hour , At the moment i am considering 2 ocean runner 6500 teed into 1 . the purpose of the excorsise is to half my electricity costs . so does anyone know of an external pump the would pump 3000 gallons an hour that has an wattage rating less than 190watts |

I have been down to a few lfs but they dont have an external pump with a large enough head flow . most of them are submersible . |

Paul thanks for the link , the only problem is that the american pumps run on 110volt which isnt suitable for our supply. I did consider swimming pool pumps but they are not designed to run 24/7
so the ocean runners are still looking favourite. |
