i need a new skimmer for my juwel 260 tank i have seen 2 on ebay but would like to know which is best they are a v2skim800 and a deltecmce600 are ither off these any good |

they r both good skimmers but it depends on personal preferance,i have a v2 800 on my 6fter and works great. |

or i have just been offerd a red sea prizm skimmer and delux upgrade kit 35.00 what are these like are they any good |

on them skimmers they have a screw on collection cup,what i do is adjust it by the grey dial till the water is just above the grey threaded nut bit on the cup,which means its skimming more effecient |

we have been put of buying the V2-800 by all our local shops saying they dont work ,and going buy the amount of them you see secondhand and only a couple of months old maybe thats why. that said there is one on here for £45 we know the guy selling it it would have been well looked after. |

got the new skimmer yesterday but i was just wondering how far up the colection cup should the water leavel be and should there be water comeing out off the airline ontop off the outlet pipe |

Just setting up my first marine tank. determined to get it right so the lifeforms i put in it dont suffer. been to a local aquatics who tell me i do not need a skimmer at all and some of there other advise goes against everything else i have read livestock looks healthy but if there wrong i dont wanna buy from them ??????
