Hiya ~~
I'm Angi, 43 from Sheffield and have been keeping Discus and a few others for about 9 months. Blame the old fella, he got me addicted. Wasn't to bothered but am like a mother hen with them now. Had a couple of the Discus breed in September but nothing since then <sniffle> Fingers crossed they'll get back to it

More than a L-O-N-G rest lol I was surprised as they are still less than a year old. Only 3 babies survived (pic attached - hopefully) they're red spotted greens

At least ya got the CORRECT initials after ya name ......... LOL Fingers crossed we have another natural pairing happening in the community tank ...... this time a red dragon pigeon and a red spotted purple. Time will tell

arrr good good
howcome things like discus and angels eat theyre eggs? Not too up on it and it baffles me as they seem to be good parents. Years ago I had a pair of angels that would look after the eggs and ward everything off that came close (before i got onto and moved them lol!) but after the same amount of days (3) would eat them? Since then Ive had another pair where they hatched but unfortantly this was unexpected, and they were with other fish in a cumminty and were just getting eaten. |

The woman that runs it sure knows her stuff about Discus, and never had a duff one from her. Oh, we're at Lodge Moor

Derwent Tropicals can be found at Bamford Garden Centre, out in the sticks in Derbyshire I think (Hope Valley, between Castleton and Hathersage). Lovely run out, in fact the first time I went we went on the train!! Still bought our first 4 Discus. She sells Discus (of course LOL) lots other tropical and some marines (I think) she had some gorgeous sting rays in the last time we went. Our last trip we got the red spotted purples, some more rams, kulies and threadfin rainbows. Cost me over a ton but the fish are always top notch and healthy. *Smiles* Angi |
