Wayne sold me the gold coloured fish as baby goldfish at 1 inch charged me a fiver each and told me he was doing me a favour, now they are over 12 inches long and killed everthing else he said to me if he had known they were red devils he would have charged me a tenner and i had a great result what more can i say. |

Craig its all gravity fed so if i slow the water down the tank that feeds it will fill up too fast then the skimmer will not perform propperly. Its the tank right hand side on the top.

Ed you should of researched your fish first, lol, only playing,
as for the noise i take it its from the stand pipe, if so get a bit of air line about 18inches long and bit by bit lower it into the stand/overflow pipe you will find the noise will go, and in the mean time get your flows sorted and you wont get that problem, HTH |

both craig and waynes ideas will work , the problem is the water level in your tank, so by restricting the flow on the outlet it would raise your water level which would reduce the amount of air being sucked in , which is the cause of the noise . Other option is to buy a bigger pump. |
