hi keeley, im sazzys hubby, thats a very strange selection of fish u got there, the discus is far to placid to be in a tank with such nasty fish, the alto needs much higher ph than the others, zebra plecs r very expensive and r better suited to a smaller community tank, im also surprised the oscar and the flowerhorn gettin along, how big r all these fish, coz if they not fully grown yet wen they r u gona av a battlefield in ur tank. sorry for being blunt but u prob gona get worse
welcome to ac

Ive inherited most of them from my late grandad the oscar and tilapia are fully grown i think but they seem to get on fine. I have'nt had any real trouble with them. The zebra plec cost me £50 and the discus is about 3 inches dunno if thats fully grown or not
25-02-2007
20:44 by paul stevens
I think you could do with some fancies in there with them ..... (joke)

Shame your so far away i would come round and help you out with some of them like the plec....
25-02-2007
20:46 by peedy.swfc
discus is no where near fully grown yet so she doin well to live wi flowerhorn, u got a bargain wi zebra plec they usually go for 200
25-02-2007
20:47 by Bogwoodbruce
That discus is gonna be ript to shreds, i'd get the zebra plec in it's own small aquarium, like a 2 foot or somthing.

21:39 by keeley
Thanx guys any help is appreciated. if I get discus and plec out would arrowana be ok with others.
25-02-2007
21:50 by Lee Smith
NO, you should remove the calvus asap as well to its own tank, or give it to someone who can look after it. if the water conditions don't kill it, it will starve to death.

please do a LOT of reading and get to grips with what you have taken on already, without adding to it, take things steady.
25-02-2007
21:53 by saz
if you want to get the aro, youve got to rehome all your other fish first, failing that, sell it to me
25-02-2007
21:56 by Bogwoodbruce
Kalvus are tanganekan cichlids and shoudl be in a tank with hard water and ocean rock caves. They do well with Frontosa. (They aren't cheap fish either.

09:04 by Richie10
I would get the Aro and sell off alot of your other fish.
That is a nice size tank to have.
Good luck!

Hi and welcome. Cant offer advice im afraid as I know nothing about the fish you keep.

Have to say though I think your all being a little hard here The tank was inherited with fish, friendly advice is better or members will be scared off and never learn!! After all she came on here looking for help.
