Ste - Looks great mate, bet you are well pleased. I'm relatively new to the site so would have missed any previous info on what yor set up includes/cost/fish you keep/when & how you put it together etc. Any chance of filling me in with some detail?

Just keeping it warm paul , stop it going rusty lol.
Nick it cost thousands mate, i keep malawis, discus, oscars, and community fish,
i put the fish room together last year it took me about 2 months .initially i had sumps under each stack of tanks but the electricity usage was horendous ,
so i changed to a central filter system, (a couple of weeks ago) its almost there but heat and circulation have been a problem , i have just purchased a 1kw koi pond heater and a swimming pool pump that should turn the water over in every tank 6 times an hour. hopefully things should be better but im not gonna rule out more problems |

wont the water pass through the heater to fast to heat the water iwas going to use the same heater on a heated pond and the guy in shop said the heater would not do it let me know how it goes as that may be my next project |

The temp in the house where the majority of the water is doesnt drop that much so the faster i get the water back through the wall into the house the warmer it stays
i have a big radiator in the fish house .Also there is only 500gallons going around my fish house and the 1kw heater is designed to run 3000 gallon koi ponds that are outside through the winter, i have thought about warming the filter room but the minute the door opens thats it the heat has gone, so im going to try the inline 1kw heater and see what happens , |
