Yellow Tangs Fighting |

I have 3 Yellow Tangs in my 6x2x2 marine tank and they have just started fighting. They have lived happily together for 6 months or so and have had no problems, they are all about the same size too.
There is plenty of rockwork, but they are actually chasing each other through the rocks, I have noticed a few marks on their sides, so they are starting to get cut-up a bit. Tried the mirror trick and that didn't work. Any ideas why they would just start fighting ?

they will fight until there is only one left. yellow tangs are best in large groups of 6+. Usually they will persecute each other in smaller groups - until only one is left.
i suggest you put the other 2 in other tanks. |

Had a good look last night and found the one who is slightly smaller was being the violent one.
I had no choice but to get him out and put him in my other tank.
I will give it a couple of days to see if the 2 are ok with each other then return the criminal to the LFS.
I guess I might end up with 1 in the end. |
