Tomdoc,
i am dropping a new 20k bulb in my pendant tomorrow, along with a 14 k, should be able to give you a good comparison... if you pm me i will let you know via email when the pics are done....

tomdoc if you go to item 150074728476 on e-bay then u should see the 1400 and 2000 lights compared next to each other i bought 70watt 14000k bulb from this bloke and it was deadcheap fast delivery and the bulb is still going but you will see very good comparisons on this site otherwise you must go under e-bay auctions on this site go for lightning and look for xu zi wei site where you will find the photos of the strengh of different bulbs

how long was your shipping and does the 14,000k really look that yellow ? |

If it looks yellow its less than 6500k, a re purposed re badged MH bulb......probably closer to 4500k..
14k is crisp white with a low level deep blue undertone......... |

the shipping was 10 days and my light is the same as the pic above on the left do have a look at that e-bay item you will see a 14 000 and 20000k bulb showing next to each other i cam recommend this bloke |

i think im goin to go for the 14,000k because i have a trigon 350 which is not the deepest tank around and i think the 20,000k will make it look to blue with the tank not being deep |
