Hi can you help?
I have a copperband butterfly in a fish only setup with a regal tang, wimple fish, long horned cowfish, two clowns and some damels. They are all fine and get on well, however my copperband is getting skinny as he only eats bloodworm.he will not touch seaweed, brineshrimp or dry flake what can I do to fatten him up???
Thanks

Hi, stop feeding it bloodworm and try frozen mysis shrimps, prawns or mussels. You may be able to induce a finicky copperband to feed if you add another butterflyfish that will readily accept captive fare (e.g., the yellow longnose butterflyfish, Forcipiger flavissimus). By watching the other butterflyfish, yours may begin to mimic it and start to feed. This is known as social learning.
Good luck

Linda why does it not just 'social learn' off the other fish?

Because they feed diferently to some other fish. They have a long beak type snout that they use to search for food in crevaces etc.
