Right, i have three in my tank, i thought they were all females, now theyve started digging around, acting as if they are going to breed, the one doing the majority of digging has orange on it though, but has a different shapped dorsal fin to the rest, his or hers is points wheresas the others aren't. Can someone confirm if males do have orange or them or is it just females as im unsure of its sex |

Males usually have darker stripes and more pointed fins, the females have a more pink belly and are more round bodied. |

sounds like your fish is as well!
It is known for 2 females to pair up occasionally and lay eggs. |

males are much bigger, darker + have pointed/longer fins...females are smaller, shorter less pointed fins + when in breeding condition have orangey/red blue flashes to their stomach/flanks... both will dig pits at any time but more so when ready to spawn, the male normally does all the chasing + showing off |
