Posted Rip Off Ebay Seller Simply Cichlids

This ebay seller charged me £6.04 postage and he sent it second class and it only cost 83p.
When mailed as i thought this is well over the top he reckoned they need to wear dustmasks when packing the nitrate resin so this is where the costs go.
My reply to that was that im going to name and shame him on as many forums as possible.

I never overcharged though i dont mind paying a bit over the odds i thought this was taking the mick to far.
If when it arrived and i see postage was for instance 4 quid i wouldnt batter an eyelid but 83p.its taking the pee and to add insult to injury he sent it 2nd class

I will be doing this on loads of forums to warn people against this fraudster. I have emailed simplycichlids and sent them the link to this topic so they can see that it dosnt pay to rip people off as they will be loosing potential customers.

People sometimes inflate the postage costs because you don't have to pay commision to Paypal or Ebay for postage. If something costs say £15 plus £3 postage they might sell it for £10 and £8 postage. The overall cost to the buyer is the same but the seller only pays commision on the £10.

But that is an offence of ebay rules. Totally outrages and misleading.
The resin wasnt extremely cheap so they are trying to make both ways

Ebay is full of conmen, and people should be notified of them so they can stay well clear.
I am not taking this lying down, i have reported it to ebay and paypal and will send the guy some more links to places where i have posted about his rubbish service.

I had problems with a seller on Ebay so I checked what else he was selling. It turned out he was selling PHOTO copies of signed photographs. It stated, right at the top of the page, that they were photo copies. Starting bids were 99p, p&p £1.99. As he had so many of them, most went for the 99p starting bid. In total, he made over £7,500.
I reported him, cow that I am, as he did not own the copy right to the photos and I hadn't thought of it first!

There are some great deals to be had on ebay, but beware there are also people who bid up there own items, then if they win the bid they put it back on with the excuse that a timewaster let them down Watch out!

I have now found out that simply cichlids have also ripped other people off on other forums.
Its a shame they didnt shout about it beforehand as i would of stayed clear from them.
I will continue to pursue my postage cost and will continue to make there life as difficult as possible untill i have been fairly re-imbursed.

He even advertises in the classifieds section of this site.
So i have sent him a message through here aswell.

Im not letting it go as im fed up of us poor fishkeeprers getting constantly ripped off.
If its not the LFS over charging its some mug on ebay trying to line there fat pockets.
I have now told him that if he does not refund me the profit he made in postage costs then i will mail every single person that bids on his items and tell them what a swizz he really is.
Its not so much the money but the principles, and the fact he charged that much and had the cheek to send it second class. That is really rubbing salt into the wound.

Take a look at his food hes selling, what a joke.
He says its high protein and great for mbuna as use by loads of famous fish keepers.
Mbuna do not do well on a high protein food for one and also i have asked him for the list of famous fish keepers he refers too.
This bloke is so full of it.

Total nob mate. Yes i knew what the postage was but didnt know it was going to cost that little to post otherwise i wouldnt of bought it. If when it come and it had cost 4 quid to post i wouldnt batter an eye lid but its the fact that it was so little and the cheeky *** even had the audicity to send it 2nd class.
