HI, HAS ANYONE EVER USED SAND FOR SUBRATE IN A NORMAL COMMUNITY TANK AROUND 2.5 FOOT LONG. SILLY QUESTION BUT WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK.

As long as its not coral sand you will be fine.

ITS THE CHEAP STUFF FOR KIDS SAND PITS, SEEMS PRETTY NICE BUT WORRY ABOUT THE CORYDORAS THAT I HAVE.

It will be perfect for the cory's. Just be careful not to have it too deep and to occasionally mix it up to avoid compaction - but your cory's will help with this anyway by digging.

IS THERE ANY KIND OF COMMUNITY FISH WHICH WOULD DISAGREE WITH SAND FOR THEIR TANK BOTTOM, AND HOW THICK SHOULD THE LAYER BE ,ABOUT A INCH?

There are no community fish i know of that would have a problem with sand.

I use (Argos Play Sand) in most of my own tanks

argos play sand cheap clean good and easy to buy allthough appartnly acoording to paul tesco play sand is cheaper
