sorry about this dodgy description im about to give but i want to know the id of this fish i saw some i can do some research on it( i did write it down but lost the paper) Right....from the looks of it i would say its definately tanganyikan, if not then malawi....the male had quite a dark body with a pale blue vertical stripe running down its body, it also had fins underneath its belly that were very long like a frontosa. the female was not one defined colour but had a yellowish appearance with shades of red etc....they appeared like a tropteus, but were not labbelled under that????? if anyone can help me ill be shocked as it must be the worst description ever |

sorry forgot to add this, the fish are around 5inch, so very unlikely they are shell dwellers |

Hmmns - Do any of these fit:
Neolamprologus tretocephalus (But this have lots of vertical lines- no just one)- also there are no sex differences...But theier fins are long!
A pic would be most helpful!
Soory cant offer any better guesses.
