my tank sprung a leak last night at the front in the centre of the seal were lucky it didnt explode andwe noticed it early enough to restrict the damage and even remove the fish into a 4ft as a temporary measure. we have considered trying to fix it but not sure if that is an option or would it just re leak? now need a driled 5ft tank were in Bristol can anyone advise us on sites or stores you have used that deliver.

Just buy a 5 foot tank and take it to your local glazers they will drill it for you proffesionally, and should be cheaper than buying a pre drilled tank. |

Contact Aquamarines - Via their website wwww.aquamarines.co.uk - They are only open Fridays - Sunday but should recieve emails during the week. They are based in Patchway.
They should be able to advise you. and can get tanks built to your spec. |

The only way to guarantee a repair would be to strip the tank down and remove all the silicon and then reapply and in effect build the tank again silicon does not stick to dry silicon very well hence reappearance of leaks.
Personally I would buy a new tank and then get a tank builder in to repair the old tank and then sell it or set up another tank. |

Drilling glass really isnt all that difficult, just need to take it slow and not apply too much force. What do you think the people who charge use, its all the same. |
