I went to world of water at bicester today and walked away appalled at what i had seen in the shop.
There new marine system is full of white spot which was pointed out to me by one of the staff . nearly every fish i saw was absolutely covered in it , and the staff were quite merrily selling the fish to poor unsuspecting new comers .
I found it hard to beleive that they could sell diseased fish , What the hell is going on with these people this is absolutely terrible .
I walked past a guy buying a sailfin tang and asked him if he knew how to treat white spot in marines and he turned and said why have some of them got it .

ste you could try emailing a nice letter to Practical fish keeping magazine ....they do have a readers letter's section
it is apauling and i must say it is not all world of waters the one in gloucester is very good and they take their infected fish off sale
i recently went to maiden head in swindon and would have bought some of their golden rams .....however on close observation they had funguss spots!!! the staff took them off sale and i see a week later they were still off sale
pets at home have the attatude of if a fish dies then they will replace it withing a few days as long as you take a sample of water into them .....their fish are delivered on a thursday and seen signs in the shop on that day that no fish will be sold! however by friday and the weekend they are sell sell sell!
its just like goldfish being prizes at fairs!!! not much you can do ....and it will allways go on |

You can complain to OATA if the fish shop is registered with them.

You should complain to the local council. As they issue the petshop license and can remove or add conditions to the licence if required.
Generally they seem to be more concerned about health and saftey than animal health, but they have to take note of evey compaint. |

Make a complaint to their head office I suspect their head office would not be to pleased.
If nothing changes within a couple of weeks phone trading standards I'm sure their breaching some form of trading law. |

I suppose they are selling faulty goods in some respects . and knowingly doing so , i will go on a mission at the weekend to see if they are still selling the fish and if they are i will commence proceding's
