at 3.30 im going to pick up a 4ft fish tank theres a 3ft one to but i onli wnt one cause the bloke dont want them the onli problem is it hasnt got a lid isit possible to make my own lid ?

Make a rectangular frame out of 1x1 to sit on the top of the tank, then make an identical copy and then fit 6 matching strips to the cormers and 2 on the back and front to give the desired depth for the hood and rigidity in the frame then attach the wooden panels and lid.

Hiya i picked up my freecycle tank today it is fab it has a lid, light pump and he enen gave me a Ehem filter i cant believe that i got it all for nothing. he also gave me two heaters one 300w and one 200w which i wont be using as i keep goldfish so if anyone wants one then let me know Tina x
