Looking to add some more intrest to the tank now I've got some corals sorted. The livestock of the tank is 2 Clowns, 1 Lemon Goby, 1 Pulsing Xenia, 1 Ricordea Mushroom, 1 striped mushroom, 1 Colt Coral, Star Polyps and 1 Yellow Leather Coral. There's also about 20 Cerith Snails and 20 Nassarius Snails. Was thinking about some shrimp and some star fish but I'm not sure what time, but they obviously must be reef compatible.
Thanks Rob |

I was thinking about Chromis, but I'm wanting something a bit more exciting and different. Most of them other fish are surely too big for my three foot tank.
I'll do a little bit of research on the stars.
Thanks for the help. |

Have you looked at Fire fish either normal or purples - very nice - but are jumpers so be careful if you have any holes they can jump through.
I also love flame hawk fish - real characters and usually quite well behaved.

I did not read the invert part!
I would go for good old cleaner schrimp as they are active pretty and a good size.
Bllod shrimp are stunning but very shy so not always on display |

Consider a dwarf angel the pygmy one will do nicely. |

Consider the following:
3 cleaner shrimp
blue linkia starfish
or small red starfish
Blood shrimp would be good also and if aiptasia rears its ugly head add 3 lysmata wurdermeri (wrong spelling I know its the true peppermint shrimp that you would want).
With the snails you have I would avoid all hermits. Take a look at www.reefcritters.co.uk I ordered a lot of grazers for a very good price all delivered nice and healthy black foot turbos are something else when it comes to grazing strongly recommend them. |

Thanks guys, going for a few cleaner shrimp and after some suggestions from NEA I'm getting a boxer shrimp and a serpent star.
Fish wise I'm considering 2 firefish and a Bicolour Angel.
One more think, does anyone know why my leather coral doesn't stay up, just flops down? (No innuendos please ) |

I would probably go for just one firefish as getting a compatible pair can be a bit tricky and they may scrap.
Also the bicolor can be quite difficukt to keep long term, other dwarf angels may be a better choice - also the get up to 6" which might be a bit big for your tank. |

Just the one firefish then and I'll reconsider the type of angel. |

Anyone?? |

pygmy is probably best for smaller tanks , midnight and keyhole , being black prone to white spot , coral beautys are great and eat filiment algae really well , i havwe them all baring the pygmy |

How does them black make them more suceptible to white spot?
It's between the Coral Beauty and Fishers Pygmy, I'm not sure which yet though. The Midnight and Keyhole are abit dark and boring for a reef I think. |
