Hello
Can someone tell me what the ideal temp is for a general community tropical tank please?

I did have discus so had the tank at 30c but now I don’t - I just have general fish i.e. neon’s, plec, lemon tetras, clown loach etc etc

I believe that if you keep is high it keeps disease away.

What’s best please?

a high temp means a faster metabolism, some fish prefer higher temperatures,in some cases a cool tank is advantageous ,when adding new stock too lower aggression for example ,if you give some corys too high a temp they will die ,but 22-26 is usually suitable for most tropicals, careful tank management keeps disease away

yes 24-26 is fine and when you do a waterchange with the dip in temp you have a fluxation in temp wich will trigger spawning with most fish

I will turn it down a little then.

Thanks.
