True wild parrot!! |

I just bought a true wild parrot from my LFS for 20 quid..it's about 4-5 inches and has great colouration...i hav done my research and know that this fish is extreamly rare.I just want to know if anyone on here has any experiance with them and are they as rare as ive read? |

Sorry to disapoint you but there is no such thing as a 'true wild parrot'. They are not found in the wild as they are an artificial hybrid. |

Yep linda that is what i mean lol i know the difference between the hybrid orange skittle one.i have got the hoplarchus psittacus..do u have one of these?? |

Hi Derek,
These are not that rare now as a lot of lfs are getting them in,they can attain 16-18" for males and 12-14" for females
Can be quite territorial when breeding but will mix with other south american cichlids in a large enough tank,150 gallons+
They take around three years to mature,there are two varients but the best by far are the Brazillian type,darker with much more red colouration

got it in coral reef..it was the only one they had got in only the same day and i got it for 20 quid..that is a very good bargain..i was speaking to one of the girls in their and they said they don't think they will get them back in again. |

i used to visit coral reef, not a bad shop not startling but ok,curviseps do you use house of pisces? what do you think of it? what fish would you like to see available in scotland? |

big cats, i need more geophagus in scotland. and def some brevis and other tangys, i had to send to kent to get my surinamensis and only one survived. |
