Posted Black Speckles on Clown Loach

Hi Guys - yet another question from me - sorry but you lot all seem very knowledgeable. I think that the famous Paul Steven might be able to help with this one as I have admired his clown loach many times

have 3 clown loaches that came with a tank I bought. I have noticed recently that they seems to have black blotches / speckles / marks on them that I didn’t see before - not sure if I just missed them or they are new.

All my other fish appear to be healthy – the water is mature and is good quality. I have 2 large filters and a UV filter. Ph is about 6.8, No2 is 0, and temp 29C (did have discus in the tank so that’s why it’s high).

I have attached some pictures, but unfortunately however nicely I asked them they wouldn’t stay still so the quality isn’t great. The marks are on the fins mainly.

One will always grow bigger than the rest as a rule and my large 5 inch + has faded a little

they do change colour when they get stressed
