Would this fish be ok for a Malawi setup???

I have found out some info on the net and cant realy work out if it would be ok to add 1 or 2 to my setup.

Ive kept one in a malawi setup with no probs. In fact he is still there now, as sold tank to house mate. Even seen royals in malawi setups

I dont think they are compatible, they require different water parameters to thrive.

To be on the safe side I would say know - they will adapt to the harder water conditions - but avoid extremes of hardness wich are easily possible in a malawi set up., but will have problems feeding due to competition. The king tiger really needs some meaty content in its diet, easily provided by bloodworm, but in a malawi set up, may not get a chance to feed on it. Also bloodworm if feeed is not desirable to feed your malawis on.
